If it's gtk apps, the package plasma-systray-legacy fixes that for me.

Is it still unsafe to upgrade today - when are the Lights green again?

Except that I had to intervene with the above extra steps, my system is working well.

So you didn't need the missing kde-plasma files?

I don't have any of those on a kdenexted Indiansummer since some time and everything is fine. My packages containing kde|kwin|plasma in their name or description are here: http://paste.siduction.org/20151210133325

No, I don't seem to need anything except the Okular I put on hold.  For example, it removed klipper and I thought I needed to try to reinstall it (which I couldn't without errors), but I still have it working in my system tray.  Everything seems to be fine and the same as it was before.

Didn't fix anything. Still no Trayicons in Taskbar as described in http://forum.siduction.org/index.php?topic=5841.0 !

Moved /.kde to /.kdeold and let kde get a new Folder - still no Icons!

CCarpenter

Figured out why the Trayicons did not appear:

Just disable your compositor or switch it to EGL should solve the Problem.

CCarpenter

Since the switch to DebianKDE i have another Graphical issue with kmenu (picture).

Am i the only one with this Problem?

devil

Never seen that before. Does the fullscreen dash have the same problem?

CCarpenter

Nope- only the Starter not the menu and not the uuurgh Fullscreen-Crab :D .

If i see in the next Future some Tiles - i will change my Desktop Environment.

It can be worse, if you switching Menus fast:

der_bud

CCarpenter, did this occur after you switched your compositor like described above and looks good again if you change to another setting?
If not, try another theme (switch to Oxygen, relogin, switch to breeze-dark, relogin...). And as a last thought, check the fonts in systemsettings, perhaps it is something like "Droid fonts got replaced by Noto fonts during D-U, but not completely". If so, change all fonts and then regenerate font cache (in terminal fc-cache -vr).
